Welcome to Bogle Pass

We are a cow herd that has long ties to the history of the Angus breed.  My Great – Great Grandfather, Alex McKinnon was one of the first importers of Angus cows in 1889; since that point, the family has raised Angus cattle.  Bogle Pass itself started in 1998 when my Grandfather Doug McKinnon purchased me two cows, one red and one black.  Since that point, through extensive AI and Embryo work, the herd has grown to 100 females.

Our farming operation does not only consist of cattle.  We also have a 3000 head lamb feedlot, which is run by my brother Jay.  A 350 ewe flock is managed by my father and mother, Don and Sharon.

In addition to that we also have 4000 acres in which we grow various cash crops.  Saying that, we are spread very thin at times, so the cows must be very low maintenance and self sufficient while at the same time being profitable.  In doing, we have strived to make a solid cow base for myself and my customers with great concentration on maternal lines of cattle.

Take a look at just a few of are females and bulls on our web site and feel free to contact me regarding any questions or inquiries.

Regards, Anson Lewis
